Each tube has a small hole in the cap to allow for air-flow when removing the lid, and can hold 20 fully enclosed capsules. These tubes do not offer any additional protection for the coins, but rather serve as a storage solution. The capsules are manufactured in the USA from an acrylic plastic that contains a non-yellowing agent, resulting in a final product that is hard, crystal clear, and smooth to the touch. The cover and base of the capsules close firmly together to form a perfect seal. The capsules are PVC-free and archival-safe, making them suitable for extended periods of long-term coin or bar storage.

The rings that secure the coins within the holders are made of an inert, cross-linked polyethylene material. These rings create an additional barrier against air contamination and also provide an attractive border to accent the coin.
